The material insulates, stores and reflects heat, regulates humidity, cleans the air in the room, dampens sound and provides excellent room acoustics and sound insulation values. Hemp-lime petrifies (carbonizes), remains standing for many generations, saves money and also binds large amounts of CO2. The material is recyclable, vermin and rodent resistant and fireproof.
Additional insulation such as polystyrene etc. is no longer necessary, the plastering work is simplified and the construction time is significantly reduced.
We press bricks from hemp-lime in an air-lime process. It can be poured as natural concrete, used as roof and underbody insulation and sprayed onto walls with a special machine.
The material acts like a lung in the house, similar to clay and also provides excellent insulation (Lamda 0.056 - 0.07).

When building a house, there are several ways to combine the static construction with this material such as. In southern countries, this is mainly done with concrete, which is the cheapest solution, with us more with a wooden skeleton construction.

 

The hemp-lime compound is used in ground fill and roof insulation, house walls, insulation between wood paneling, intermediate walls, outer walls and much more. Even when building a normal house, the great advantage of air purification and moisture regulation can be enjoyed by installing the partition walls made of hemp bricks.

 

Hemp - Nature's discriminated miracle plant

 

Hemp is a raw material that was already used by our grandparents and was only degraded to a devil's drug after the Second World War due to the economic interests of individual magnates. Due to the shortage of oil, the EU allowed the cultivation of fiber hemp again at the end of the 1990s. In 2013, fiber hemp was once again cultivated in South Tyrol by the company Ecopassion.

 

At almost every latitude, hemp grows from fine seed to a few meters tall plant in just four months, without the need for excessive irrigation (as with cotton), pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. Industrial hemp is an ideal alternating crop and regenerates the soil: Its deep rooting makes it nutritious, loosens it, extracts valuable minerals and nutrients from the lowest layers of the soil and thus counteracts leaching. In addition, hemp is able to absorb a large amount of CO 2 from the atmosphere and lock it into its wood (330 kg per ton of dry matter).

Geschichte des Hanfs:

Hanf ist eine der ältesten Kultur- und Nutzpflanzen der Welt. Seit es Menschen gibt, nutzen diese Hanffasern als Bekleidung (Funde von Hanftextilien bei fast allen geschichtsträchigen Ausgrabungen, z.B. bei Ötzi oder den Kelten).

Auch Gutenberg druckte sein erstes Buch auf Hanfpapier, da Holz zur Herstellung von Papier erst viel später genutzt wurde.

 

Resistente Hanfseile und Hanfsegel ermöglichten in unserer Geschichte die effiziente Schifffahrt

und damit u. a. die Entdeckung Amerikas.

Auch in Südtirol war der Hanfanbau auf jedem Bauernhof gang und gebe. Die Pflanze wurde weiterverarbeitet zu Bekleidung, Vorhänge, Tischdecken, Seile und als Nahrungsquelle genutzt. Hanfsamenöl enthält 80-90% mehrfach ungesättigte Fettsäuren, ist reich an Omega 3,Omega 6 und Omega 9 Fettsäuren. Zudem enthält es Vitamin C + E, Vitamin B1,2,6,12, Niacin, Biotin und Panthotensäure. 

 

Leben in den Dolomiten - Kalk als Rohstoff

 

 

Kalk ist eines der ältesten Baumaterialien überhaupt und hat sich bis heute stets bestens bewährt.

 

Im natürlichem Kalkkreislauf kann das Kalkgestein durch Befeuerung im Kalksteinofen gebrannt werden. Durch diesen Vorgang wird dem Gestein CO2 entzogen und kann nun mit Wasser "gelöscht" werden.

Gelöschter Kalk kann nun aus der Luft wieder CO2 aufnehmen und wird so wieder zum Kalkgestein.

 

Eigenschaften von Kalk:

  •  ist ein auf der ganzen Welt beliebtes Bindemittel und findet in verschiedensten Bereichen seinen Einsatz.
  •  wird seit Urzeiten verwendet und zählt zu den ältesten Baumaterialien überhaupt
  •  hat ideale bauphysikalische Eigenschaften - den Beweis liefern unsere 500 Jahre alte Bauernhöfe, die bis heute noch bestens erhalten geblieben sind.
  •  ist fester Bestandteil der Südtiroler Kultur
